Hubungan Pengetahuan tentang HIV/AIDS dengan Perilaku Pencegahan HIV/AIDS pada Siswa Kelas X di SMA Taman Siswa Kota Cirebon Tahun 2026
Knowledge regarding HIV/AIDS is a factor that can support the development of HIV/AIDS prevention behaviors among adolescents. This study is motivated by the importance of reproductive health education in enhancing adolescents' understanding of HIV/AIDS and encouraging appropriate prevention behaviors. The study aims to determine the relationship between HIV/AIDS knowledge and HIV/AIDS prevention behaviors among 10th-grade students at SMA Taman Siswa, Cirebon City, in 2026. A quantitative approach was employed using a descriptive-analytic design and a cross-sectional method. The study population consisted of 46 10th-grade students, all of whom served as respondents through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires on HIV/AIDS knowledge and prevention behaviors, then analyzed via univariate and bivariate methods using the Chi-square test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that 27 respondents (58.7%) possessed good knowledge, 14 (30.4%) had fair knowledge, and 5 (10.9%) had poor knowledge. A total of 29 respondents (63.0%) demonstrated positive prevention behaviors, while 17 (37.0%) demonstrated negative behaviors. The analysis revealed a significant relationship between HIV/AIDS knowledge and HIV/AIDS prevention behaviors (p < 0.001). These findings underscore the importance of strengthening accurate, age-appropriate, and stigma-free HIV/AIDS education through collaboration among schools, healthcare professionals, and families to support HIV/AIDS prevention behaviors among adolescents.
