Epistemología de una ciencia factual: Meillassoux y el problema de la inducción
This article defends the operational efficacy of science against the ontological hyper-chaos proposed by Quentin Meillassoux. Accepting the radical contingency of physical laws and the inherent insolubility of Hume's problem, it argues for the existence of a stable interval that causally legitimizes the dating of the arche-fossil. To overcome the epistemic aridity of speculative materialism, formalist meta-induction is discarded in favor of John D. Norton's material theory of induction. By restricting inference to local domains, the paper consolidates the transition from a mere interval to a genuine “factual science,” articulating an empirical externalism devoid of metaphysical necessity.
