Pengaruh Stres Kerja dan Beban Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan di PT. Bank Sumut Kantor Pusat Medan

This study aims to analyze and determine the partial and simultaneous effects of work stress and workload on employee performance at PT Bank Sumut Head Office in Medan. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach. The population consisted of all employees of PT Bank Sumut Head Office in Medan, with a sample of 88 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing (t-tests and F-tests), and the coefficient of determination (R²) using SPSS. The results showed that work stress had a negative and significant partial effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of -0.709 and a significance value of 0.010 < 0.05. Workload did not have a statistically significant partial effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.073 > 0.05 and a regression coefficient of 0.553. Furthermore, the simultaneous test indicated that work stress and workload jointly had a significant effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.026 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.082, indicating that the two variables explained 8.2% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 91.8% was not explained by the research model.
