Sequential subpredictors for LPV input-delay systems under gain-scheduling approaches

This paper investigates the stabilization of time-varying input delayed Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) systems with rational dependence on the scheduling parameters under sequential subpredictor (SSP) approaches. Although the SSP-based control scheme has the advantage that larger delays can be tolerated in the control loop by introducing more and more subpredictors for linear systems, the LPV nature of the system together with the presence of time-varying delay mismatches may compromise its effectiveness. To alleviate this limitation and enhance robustness against time-varying delay uncertainties, a novel SSP with gain-scheduling is developed generalizing prior related works. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by a simulation example.
