GEOMETRICAL CONCEPTS IN ANCIENT INDIAN TEXTS: A QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS
Ancient Indian mathematical traditions contain important evidence of geometrical knowledge developed in relation to practical and cultural activities. The present study analyzes geometrical concepts identified in Ancient Indian Texts such as polygon, straight-sided figure and geometrical shapes, circles, semi-circles, Pythagorean concepts and approximation of √2 (Dani 2024; Dani & Limaye, 2021). The study focuses on geometrical forms, structural parameter, transformation, geometric configuration. Through this study, it is seen that Sulba tradition depicts geometry as a step-by-step approach to constructional activity while SriYantra showcases an example of an important arrangement which can also be significantly purposeful for mathematical construction problem (Chiodo 2021). The present study emphasizes the significance of mathematics pedagogy with deep rooted history, culture and visual representation of mathematical facts. Therefore, the study expresses sacred geometry as the convergence of Mathematics, Spirituality and Philosophy with respect to contemporary education
