Penerapan Teknologi Pompa Air Otomatis Tenaga Surya Berbasis Arduino sebagai Solusi Irigasi Lahan Persawahan di Desa Ulak Depati

This community service program aims to implement an Arduino-based solar-powered automatic water pump for rice field irrigation in Ulak Depati Village to improve watering efficiency and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Using a participatory approach, partners were actively involved in socialization, system design, control panel assembly, field installation of solar panels, a Solar Charge Controller, a battery, a water pump, and a soil moisture sensor, as well as training, mentoring, and evaluation. Following field adjustments to solar panel positioning and sensor calibration, testing confirmed that the sensor accurately detected soil moisture and transmitted data to the Arduino to automatically control the water pump based on a predetermined threshold. Questionnaire evaluation results indicated high community acceptance, averaging 93.6% in the very good category across technology comprehension, ease of operation, suitability to local needs, irrigation benefits, and participant satisfaction. An operational guide was also provided to support independent and sustainable system operation and maintenance by the community.
