FORMAL-LOGICAL RECONSTRUCTION OF THE PROBLEM OF CONSCIOUSNESS Structure and Dynamics as Inseparable Aspects of Reality

This paper examines the problem of consciousness from the perspective of a formal-logical analysis of the relationship between structure and dynamics. The starting point of the research is the question of whether it is justified to treat structure and dynamics as ontologically independent aspects of reality, that is, whether dynamics can be regarded as a foundation that produces structure or consciousness as a separate phenomenon. In contrast to such an approach, two general ontological axioms are formulated: the first, according to which no structure exists without the dynamic process of its emergence, maintenance, transformation, or dissolution; and the second, according to which no dynamic process exists without the structural determination of the relations within which it takes place. On the basis of these axioms, the mutual conditioning of structure and dynamics is examined, together with the distinction between analytical and ontological separation and the scope of logical derivations. Particular attention is devoted to consciousness as a structural-dynamic whole encompassing the subject, intelligence, attention, mind, information, and the relations among them. The possibility of reconstructing the problem of consciousness in the theory of science is also considered, particularly with regard to the assumption that dynamics produces consciousness as an independent phenomenon. The aim of the paper is not to declare, on the basis of two axioms, a definitive solution to all questions concerning consciousness, but to examine the logical justification of the initial assumptions regarding the relationship between structure, dynamics, and consciousness. The principal result of the reconstruction is the establishment that structure and dynamics can be distinguished in analysis, but cannot, within the proposed model, consistently be treated as ontologically independent categories. Keywords: consciousness, structure, dynamics, ontology, formal logic, subject, intelligence, attention, mind, information.
