Role of Ignatia amara in a chronic post-COVID gastric disorder: A case report using the Sensation Method
A female patient presented with severe acidity, loud eructations, burning pain in the stomach and alternating diarrhoea and constipation that began after COVID-19, together with marked emotional sensitivity, anticipatory fear and silent grief. She had taken allopathic as well as homoeopathic treatment without relief. The Sensation Method of case taking was used: the case was understood as belonging to the Plant kingdom, with the Loganiaceae family theme of being shocked, shattered and let down, and the core theme of internalised grief with suppressed emotional expression leading to hypersensitive, spasmodic disturbances. After repertorisation, Ignatia amara 200 (single dose) was prescribed, followed by placebo twice daily for 15 days.
