"BATERAI BUMIL" (BAYAM DAN TELUR ATASI ANEMIA): INOVASI KULINER SEHAT UNTUK IBU HAMIL SEHAT TANPA ANEMIA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS BAAMANG 2 KOTAWARINGIN TIMUR”
Anemia among pregnant women remains a significant health challenge, including in the East Kotawaringin Regency area. The Community Service Program (PKM) "BATERAI BUMIL" was conducted in April 2026 within the working area of Puskesmas Baamang 2. This program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of pregnant women with anemia by utilizing iron-rich local food ingredients, specifically through processed spinach and egg interventions. The implementation methods included initial Hemoglobin (Hb) level screenings, interactive education regarding anemia during pregnancy, and a culinary workshop on creating healthy, innovative dishes based on spinach and eggs. This activity was attended by pregnant women diagnosed with anemia. Post-activity evaluation showed an increase in Hemoglobin (Hb) levels, improved participant understanding of balanced nutrition fulfillment, and a high acceptance rate toward the variety of processed local food menus taught. It is hoped that this program can be replicated sustainably through Posyandu (integrated health post) activities under the guidance of Puskesmas Baamang 2.
