INDIVIDUAL EXISTENCE IN REALIZING THE "LITTLE STAR" AS SELF-AFFIRMATION AND ASPIRATION IN ANIME ILLUSTRATION CREATION
The background of this project explores the existence of dreams and aspirations in relation to the human experience—navigating the intersection between the world of imagination and the world of reality. It raises the question: "Do the dreams and motivations held in childhood persist into adulthood, even when faced with the harshness of reality?" This inquiry further invites a critical examination of the generational gaps and the challenges faced by the sandwich generation. The project aims to provide an affirmation for the individual journey toward realizing one's "dreams and hopes," utilizing the symbol of a "little star" to represent the inner imaginative space used to confront the difficulties of reality. The creative approach employs a hybrid method, combining traditional (manual) painting with digital painting. The project culminates in a series of six paintings, developed under the concept: "The 'Little Star' as a Symbol of Self-Affirmation and Aspiration: An Anime-Inspired Art Creation Project." Beyond its symbolic function, the "little star" serves as a focal point for exploring themes of "existence," "affirmation," and "aspiration" within the context of individuality. Specifically, the project utilizes an anime-inspired illustrative style as its primary visual language. Furthermore, the project addresses its broader contributions and impacts, encompassing economic, environmental, and social dimensions.
