Paraopeba River Turbidity Records Following Brumadinho (January 2019): Documentary Discrepancies and Reproducible Analyses

This dataset documents the provenance of published turbidity records for the Paraopeba River following the Brumadinho dam failure in January 2019. It preserves 15 published occurrences from IGAM Bulletin No. 1 (28 January 2019) and 27 from Bulletin No. 3 (30 January 2019), with original textual values, station identifiers, sampling dates, times, document locators, and normalized representations. Exact matching by station, date, time and parameter yields 13 documentary pairs: nine agreements and four numerical discrepancies. Using the fixed 27-record Bulletin No. 3 reference set, the dataset provides the 16 possible substitutions of the four discrepant values and related summary statistics and numerical counts relative to 40 and 100 NTU. Code and derived tables support independent computational reproduction. Bulletin No. 4 and subsequent institutional materials are used only for documentary context and are not incorporated into the reference calculations. The records are published observations transcribed from institutional documents, not validated laboratory results. The archive does not contain institutional source PDFs, individual sample reports, authenticated amendment logs or a second independently completed visual transcription.
