Development of a system for modeling the parameters of spines for crab orders

A mathematical model of the design of crab spines has been developed, taking into account the properties of materials. Ropes made of polypropylene and polyethylene with diameters of 24-30 mm were studied. The breaking load, wear resistance, composition and geometry of the threads were determined. A linear dependence of the breaking load on the density of the heels and a nonlinear dependence of wear resistance on the cross-sectional shape have been established. A performance criterion for assessing abrasion resistance is proposed. Dependencies have been developed to calculate the number of heels and the total breaking load. Based on the model, a two-stage design selection algorithm was created: first, according to the criterion of wear resistance with calculation of the contact line, then according to the condition of ensuring the required tensile strength with solving the optimization problem of packing heels into strands. The results obtained allow for the targeted design of crab lines with improved performance characteristics.
