The data collected was subjected to analysis through the use of Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) which gave a result of 0.79. The findings revealed that Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) as measured by Power Point Slide Instruction, Digital Board Instruction, Projector Instruction and Compact Disc Instruction have significant impact on students’ academic performance in Shorthand in Public Colleges of Education, North Central Zone of Nigeria. There was no significant difference between the mean ratings of College students (male and female) on the impact of Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) as measured by Power Point Slide Instruction, Digital Board Instruction, Projector Instruction and Compact Disc Instruction have significant impact on students’ academic performance in Shorthand in Public Colleges of Education, North Central Zone of Nigeria. Government should provide more fund for the procurement and installation of needed CAI tools for effective instruction delivery in Shorthand.
