Zulfia Programming (ZP): The End of 238 Years of Classical Programming Assumptions
For 238 years, since Lagrange (1788) and its modern form KKT (1951), mathematical pro-gramming has relied on imposed external conditions g(x) ≤ 0, h(x) = 0, requiring auxiliarymultipliers and constraint qualifications (LICQ, MFCQ, Slater). We prove this imposed structure is unnecessary. We introduce Zulfia Programming (ZP) withthe Zulfia Identity Condition (ZIC): Let ∆(x, u) be the Structural Component encoding deviationof state x from reference configuration under structure u, thenZIC: ∆(x, u) = 0 ⇐⇒ decision is valid (feasible).ZIC is an identity, not a conditional test. It replaces KKT as the fundamental condition, without multipliers or qualifications. ZP unifies nonlinear, fractional, and miscellaneous structuralprogramming — including ratio objectives and log/entropy terms — under one identity ∆ = 0.Every KKT-feasible problem is a ZP, but ZP admits problems with no natural KKT formulation. This establishes ZP as a fundamental programming class like LP, NLP, CP.
