IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNIQUES AND PROFESSIONAL ETHICSAT PLATINUM TATTOO STUDIO
This study aims to describe the application of the Black and Gray Wash tattoo technique and professional ethics at Platinum Tattoo Studio through the MBKM Impact Program, as well as the competencies developed during the internship. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using participatory observation, hands-on practice, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The findings show that the Black and Gray Wash technique applies tonal gradation, shading, volume, proportion, and lighting to create realistic tattoo designs, requiring technical precision and artistic understanding. Professional ethics are demonstrated through hygiene, equipment sterilization, effective client communication, informed consent, and respect for client privacy. The internship also provided practical experience in design consultation, stencil preparation, equipment handling, and the use of digital design applications, wireless rotary machines, and stencil printers. Through these activities, the author developed technical, artistic, communication, disciplinary, responsible, and managerial competencies. This study highlights the contribution of the MBKM Impact Program in connecting academic learning with professional practices in the tattoo industry and preparing students to enter the creative industry.
