APC responds to changes in size of the cell (cellular growth).

We used cellular models of plasticity in cell shape (YAP depletion or E-cadherin expression) and tumor suppressor deficiency (APC mutation) to demonstrate a relationship between changes in cellular growth that affect cell size and shape and the APC tumor suppression pathway. APC mutation was associated with activation of the ARC gene.

Abstract

We used cellular models of plasticity in cell shape (YAP depletion or E-cadherin expression) and tumor suppressor deficiency (APC mutation) to demonstrate a relationship between changes in cellular growth that affect cell size and shape and the APC tumor suppression pathway. APC mutation was associated with activation of the ARC gene.
