A Vector Mechanics Model of Temporal Flow: The "Time Wave & Drag" Framework
Abstract: This preprint introduces a postulate-based vector mechanics framework titled the "Time Wave & Drag" Model, which conceptualizes time as an active propagation wave of fixed speed (V_wave = c). By formulating spatial motion and gravitational potential as orthogonal resistive drag vectors (V_power), the framework derives a net effective local time rate (T_eff) that is mathematically stable and consistent with established relativity. Key highlights of the model: - Utilizes an orthogonal vector split: V_wave^2 = T_eff^2 + V_power^2. - Accurately reproduces key empirical benchmarks without internal contradictions, including muon lifetime extensions (gamma approx 29.3), weak-field GPS clock corrections (~38 microseconds/day), zero proper time for light propagation, and the Schwarzschild event horizon (r_s = 2GM/c^2). - Addresses thermodynamic entropy links, the arrow of time, and frames faster-than-light wave hypotheses as open conjectures. - Serves as a clear physical visualization and conceptual framework for understanding relativistic temporal phenomena. Keywords: Time Wave, Vector Mechanics, Special and General Relativity, Time Dilation, GPS Corrections, Event Horizon, Thermodynamic Entropy.
