Shipbuilding of a French Marine Royale Schooner from the Restauration Period 1823–24: Anémone (Les Saintes, Guadeloupe)
This article presents the results of the Anémone project, which took place in Guadeloupe in the French West Indies between 2015 and 2019. The project studied the Saintes Bay wreck, identified as the remains of Anémone, a French naval schooner built in Bayonne in 1823 and sunk in 1824. By focusing on a shipbuilding analysis, this article fills a gap in the knowledge of such vessels in the French Navy.
