GENDERED RELATIONAL MEANING-REGULATION DYNAMICS

AbstractThe Gendered Relational Meaning Regulation Dynamics framework (GRMRD) is pro-posed as a multilevel, person-sensitive and time-dependent architecture for investigatingrelationships among conscious experience, explicit labelling, deliberate justification, automaticor implicit processing, motivational intensity, affective responses, identity-directed evaluation, behavioural expression, and subsequent learning. Its central component is the Conscious-Implicit Motivational Divergence principle (CIMD),which concerns the possible alignment or divergence between a person's consciously reportedevaluations and independently measured automatic responses or behavioural dispositions. The framework distinguishes the name assigned to an experience, the person's explicitinterpretation of it, the underlying processes that may contribute to it, and its observableconsequences. These constructs are not assumed to be interchangeable. The proposed Generalized Meaning-Regulation Feedback mechanism (GMRF) representsreciprocal interactions among personal history, contextual activation, conscious appraisal, automatic processing, affective and motivational regulation, behaviour, outcomes, and sub-sequent learning. The architecture allows different motivational functions to coexist andpermits positive, negative, mixed, or ambiguous outcomes. It does not assume that auto-matic processing is always stronger than conscious control, that implicit measures revealan inaccessible psychological truth, or that an experience necessarily indicates a particularhidden motive. The primary case is the Sexual Superiority-Identity-Devaluation Hypothesis Case (SSID-HC), which examines whether, under specified conditions, sexual reward, dominance-relatedmotivation, and identity-directed devaluation are associated. This case is retained as therecurring reference case throughout the framework, without assuming that sexual fantasies, consensual interests, gender identity, or sexual orientation imply hostility or pathology.A formal variable system, candidate divergence indices, dynamic state equations, multilevelstatistical structures, operational definitions, competing explanations, validation criteria, ethical constraints, and falsification conditions are specified. The framework is intended as atestable research programme rather than an established psychological law. Its scientific valuedepends on construct validity, measurement reliability, longitudinal evidence, incremental pre-dictive performance, independent replication, and willingness to revise or reject unsupportedcomponents. Keywords: GRMRD; conscious-implicit motivational divergence; automatic processing; ex-plicit appraisal; motivational regulation; identity- directed affect; dominance; dynamic systems;individual differences; neuroplasticity; falsifiability; multilevel modelling.
