OFWA OPERATORS AS A COMPUTATIONAL MECHANISM TO AGGREGATE VARIABLES

Modeling scientific and engineering problems requires the aggregation of variables. Ordered Functional Weighted Averaging (OFWA) operators were introduced to provide greater flexibility and versatility on a wide range of scenarios, allowing multiple criteria to be taken into account across different values, than other existing aggregation operators. Although the whole set of OFWA operators forms a complete lattice with the usual pointwise ordering, its complexity does not allow a trivial mechanism to compare them. This paper studies how greater or lesser OFWA operators can be obtained and we shows that significant well-known operators, such as the Choquet integral, are particular cases of the OFWA operator.
