COMPLEMENTARY SOLAR ENERGY UTILIZATION SYSTEM FOR URBAN PARKING FACILITIES AND PHOTOVOLTAIC VEHICLES / SISTEMA DE APROVECHAMIENTO SOLAR COMPLEMENTARIO PARA ESTACIONAMIENTOS URBANOS Y VEHÍCULOS FOTOVOLTAICOS
IntroductionThis proposal aims to investigate complementary solar energy utilization systems for urban parking facilities where buildings, constructions, and other structures create partial shadows over parked vehicles. The objective is to take advantage of elevated areas that receive direct solar radiation and redirect or transport part of that energy toward vehicles parked in shaded areas for several hours. This proposal arises as a complement to the project involving vehicles with photovoltaic panels integrated into their bodywork, but it could also benefit conventional electric vehicles.Three main alternatives will be investigated: reflective surfaces, optical ducts for transporting natural light, and elevated photovoltaic structures with electrical distribution systems.
