A Case of Asymptomatic Carotid Artery Stenosis With Thumb‐Sized Calcification Detected on Panoramic Radiograph
ABSTRACT A 73‐year‐old male with dyslipidemia and chronic kidney disease exhibited carotid calcification on a dental panoramic radiograph. Ultrasonography confirmed 30% asymptomatic carotid stenosis. This case highlights intimal calcification's link to kidney disease and atherosclerosis. Prompt medical‐dental collaboration and diagnostic imaging remain crucial to prevent cerebrovascular events, extending healthy life expectancy.
