Kontribusi Pariwisata Jikomalamo Terhadap Peningkatan Pendapatan Pelaku Usaha Lokal Di Kecamatan Kota Ternate Barat

Tourism is a strategic sector that supports economic growth and creates new business opportunities for communities around tourist destinations. Jikomalamo Beach in Takoma Village has become an increasingly popular marine tourism destination, encouraging the growth of local culinary and service businesses. This study analyzes the contribution of Jikomalamo tourism to the income of local business actors and identifies geographical factors supporting tourism-based economic activities. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving four local business actors and two village officials selected purposively. Data were analyzed thematically through reduction, coding, categorization, and interpretation, with source and technique triangulation used to ensure validity. The results show that business income increased from approximately Rp200,000–Rp300,000 per day before tourism development to Rp500,000–Rp700,000 per day afterward. The increase is most significant on weekends and national holidays, while weekday income tends to decline. Supporting factors include the beach’s natural attraction, road accessibility, and available tourism facilities. However, business actors still face challenges such as weather and wave conditions, limited capital, weak institutional support, and inadequate digital marketing. Local communities remain the main actors in independently managing tourism-related businesses. The study concludes that Jikomalamo tourism contributes positively to local income, but the benefits remain unstable. Strengthening business capacity, product diversification, marketing strategies, and government support is therefore essential for sustainable local economic development and improving the resilience, competitiveness, and long-term welfare of business actors surrounding the destination sustainably.
