Generalized Theory of Spacetime (Chapter 1)
This is first chapter of the Generalized Theory of Spacetime. On the basis of three fundamental postulates, this work successively generalizes the theory of relativity, thereby constructing a generalized theory of spacetime applicable to quantized space. In the first postulate, three kinds of photons are distinguished-the transverse-wave (real) photon, the scalar photon, and the longitudinal-wave photon-together with their internal structures and energy interconversion. In the second postulate, the generalized principle of light-speed is established, showing that within macroscopic quantized space the speed of light can exceed that in flat space. In the third postulate, the generalized principle of relativity is extended to quantized space,in which the vacuum electromagnetic field and the vacuum gravitational field are identified respectively with dark energy and dark matter.Furthermore,a thought experiment concerning a train moving around a great circle is presented to illustrate the principle of equivalence of one-way reference frames. The quantized space proposed here exists in the microscopic, mesoscopic, macroscopic, and universal-cosmic domains, and determines the internal structure, interactions, and laws of motion of matter in all these domains.
