Growth factor and cytokine requirements of the embryonic stem cell.

We measured total transcription in the human embryonic stem cell by RNA-sequencing to define growth factor composition of the hES cell. Human embryonic stem cells expressed FGF21, IL-34, GDF3, KIT, FGF23, FGF3, IL21A, GDNF, VEGFC, NGF, FGFR1, FGF4, FGF10, VGF and GYPE. We present here among the most complete descriptions of growth factor requirements of the embryonic stem cell in man.
