Tertiary recycling of polyvinylidene fluoride composites by 3D gel printing

In the past, several studies have been reported on the process capability of the material extrusion-based 3D printing process for tertiary recycling of polyvinylidene fluoride composite collected as a waste of dry cell components. But hitherto less has been reported on the process capability of 3D gel printing for tertiary recycling of polyvinylidene fluoride composites. This study highlights the mechanical and dielectric properties of tertiary recycled polyvinylidene fluoride composites processed by 3D gel printing in terms of process capability indices. The process capability indices for mechanical and dielectric properties of tertiary recycled polyvinylidene fluoride composite as dry cell components by gel-printing were observed ≥1, which justifies that the selected process is statistically controlled from a batch production point of view and may be employed as an acceptable process for recycling.
