RELEVANSI ONTOLOGI, EPISTEMOLOGI, DAN AKSIOLOGI DALAM PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DI ERA DIGITAL

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the processes of acquiring, developing, and disseminating knowledge in Islamic education. Easy access to information and the use of artificial intelligence have created opportunities for learning innovation while also raising concerns regarding the nature of education, the validity of knowledge, and the cultivation of students’ values and moral character. These developments highlight the need to re-examine the relevance of the philosophical foundations of Islamic education in the face of digital transformation. This study aims to analyze the relevance of ontology, epistemology, and axiology in Islamic education in the digital era. It employs a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected through the identification and documentation of relevant books, scholarly journal articles, and academic publications, and were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical technique involving thematic categorization and conceptual synthesis. The findings indicate that ontology plays a role in affirming the nature of human beings as subjects of education who possess intellectual, spiritual, and moral dimensions. Epistemology provides a foundation for developing critical thinking skills, verifying information, and integrating revelation, reason, and experience in the acquisition of knowledge. Meanwhile, axiology guides the use of technology in accordance with Islamic values, digital ethics, responsibility, and moral character development. These three dimensions are interrelated in shaping an Islamic education system that adapts to technological advancements without losing sight of its values and educational objectives. This study concludes that the integration of ontology, epistemology, and axiology is essential to realizing an Islamic education system that is critical, humanistic, and firmly grounded in Islamic values in the digital era.
