Industrial Energy Data Readiness: A Practical Verification Method

Industrial PV and battery-storage assessments combine interval measurements, equipment assumptions, tariff schedules and contractual choices. Errors at their interfaces can remain hidden even when an input file is readable. This technical note proposes a practical verification method for the handover between data owners, commercial teams and technical modellers. The method defines a measurement boundary, preserves source provenance, checks time coverage and quantity semantics, separates measured values from assumptions, and records unresolved commercial inputs. An accompanying synthetic example demonstrates interval checks across a daylight-saving transition. The example is generated mathematically and contains no customer measurements. Software tests verify selected implementation behaviours; they do not establish empirical accuracy, optimal equipment sizing or financial performance. The output is a traceable assessment input package and an explicit list of remaining evidence requirements. Energy Management Network is an independent professional concept, not a registered company or a current employer. Csott Károly Péter is the named author. Generative AI assistance was used for drafting, code preparation and preparation of the synthetic teaching example. The algorithm, assumptions and software test scope are disclosed. Abstract

Author: Csott Károly Péter (Csott Karoly Peter) works in senior B2B energy sales, business development, PV, BESS, HVAC, energy project coordination and commercial project screening. Energy Management Network is an independent professional concept, not a registered company or a current employer. Csott Károly Péter is the named author. Generative AI assistance was used for drafting, code preparation and preparation of the synthetic teaching example. The algorithm, assumptions and software test scope are disclosed. No generated value is presented as an observation of a customer or real facility. Companion toolkit: https://github.com/Csottkarolypeter/industrial-energy-data-readiness
