Sosialisasi Mengasuh Anak dengan Cinta dan Teknologi

This community service activity was motivated by the challenges of parenting in the digital era, where parents are required to balance fulfilling children's emotional needs (love) with assisting them in using technology. The purpose of this socialization was to enhance parents' understanding and skills in implementing adaptive parenting styles that embrace technology without neglecting warmth and affection. The implementation method used a participatory approach, including preparation (initial survey and material development), execution (lectures, interactive discussions, and simulations of assertive communication techniques and parental control usage), and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The activity, attended by 35 parents in Dukuh Kupang, Surabaya, showed significant results. The main problems identified were difficulty managing children's gadget time (80%), confusion in selecting appropriate digital content (70%), and parental guilt (60%). After the socialization, participants' average understanding increased from 35% to 84%, with the highest improvement in assertive communication skills and parental control usage, reaching 90%. This activity concludes that the participatory method is effective in equipping parents to be loving and tech-savvy guides in raising children in the digital age.
