An AI–IoT enabled upgraded industries framework for sustainable business operations and intelligent decision management

With the advent of Upgraded industries, the shift in focus is now towards an intelligent, human-centric and environmentally-conscious business ecosystem. But the current Upgraded industries approaches are not always very effective in supporting strategic decision making and real-time company operations, as they do not fully include the full integration of AI, IoT, sustainability assessment, and intelligent decision management. This study offers a framework for sustainable business operations and intelligent decision management enabled by AI and IoT to tackle these difficulties. A unified architecture is achieved via the framework’s integration of edge-cloud computing, sustainability assessment, intelligent decision support, AI-driven analytics, and data collecting based on IOTs. A new HLX-DOM is presented to further enhance operational efficiency, decision-making towards sustainability and predictive accuracy. A number of industrial datasets, such as AI4I Predictive Maintenance, Smart Manufacturing, Appliances Energy Prediction, and Industry 4.0 Production, were used to validate the scheme. In the experimental evaluation, efficiency in operations, use of resources, energy consumption, sustainability and accuracy of predictions were some of the performance indicators used. The results demonstrate the optimization of resources (92.3% efficiency), energy saved (91.8% efficiency) and the sustainability increase (91.8% efficiency). The proposed HLX-DOM model outperformed the other models such as Decision Tree, Random Forest, XG Boost, ANN, and a single LSTM model, achieving the highest accuracy of 98.7%, precision of 98.1%, recall of 97.9%, and F1-score of 98.0%. The framework’s scalability and resilience are further confirmed by studies of real-world case studies, ablation, sensitivity, and computational complexity. Intelligent, sustainable, and human-centric Upgraded industries ecosystems can be implemented in corporate, healthcare, supply chain, and industrial settings with the help of the suggested solution.
