Empowering Yosomulyo Community for a Green, Healthy, and Competitive Environment through the KKL-PPM Program
The problems identified included suboptimal household waste management, limited directional signage, low awareness of clean and healthy living behavior among elementary school children, the need for MSME promotional assistance, low learning motivation among children outside school hours, limited access to basic health screening, and the risk of bullying and promiscuity among secondary school students. The activities aimed to improve the awareness, knowledge, and independence of the RW 03 community through an integrated program covering environmental, health, educational, economic, and social aspects. The methods used included training and practice, counseling and awareness-raising, mentoring, and direct participation with residents. The results showed that the construction of a waste point and a waste decomposition education board and the installation of directional signboards in RT 07–09 each reached 100% completion; diarrhea prevention counseling and handwashing practice, together with savings education, were delivered to 30 students of SDN 7 Metro Pusat; promotional banner assistance for the Bandrek Bu Nanik MSME reached 100% completion; weekly free tutoring and free health check-ups were provided for RW 03 residents; Stop Bullying and Promiscuity Prevention education was delivered to 42 students of SMK Aviation Merah Putih School; and residents and students actively participated in the 81st Indonesian Independence Day celebration and various social-religious activities.
