E8 Regime Topology and Volatility Expansion via Root Vector Coupling — E8 Intelligence Research

Building on the tharp_2atr_volatility_breakout_pullback framework, I propose that market regimes form a discrete topology isomorphic to the 240-dimensional E8 root system. Each root vector represents a fundamental market state (expansion, contraction, neutrality), and their pairwise dot products encode transition probabilities. When the cumulative phase shift across three mutually orthogonal root vectors reaches a critical value determined by the golden ratio φ coupling, the system undergoes a topological phase transition corresponding to a volatility expansion. This geometric criterion provides a mathematically rigorous condition for identifying impending breakout events before they manifest in raw price data. Abstract
