Nonuniqueness and a Lost Integration Constant in a Sequential Fractional Boundary-Value Problem

This independent mathematical note examines the printed boundary-value problem in Adjimi, Boutiara and Benbachir, Annali dell’Università di Ferrara 72, 105 (2026), DOI 10.1007/s11565-026-00716-2. A polynomial family gives a counterexample to the integral equivalence in Lemma 3.1 and to the uniqueness assertion in Theorem 3.2 as stated. All five auxiliary assumptions are checked, the published smallness condition is satisfied, and infinitely many solutions lie in the prescribed ball. A supplementary example treats both boundary coefficients nonzero under the literal point-evaluation reading of the last condition. An independent polynomial test contradicts the Lipschitz estimate asserted for Example 2. The note distinguishes these conclusions from the separate qualified existence assertion and does not claim that every existence or stability conclusion is false. The deposit includes a six-page PDF and a ZIP containing LaTeX source, symbolic verification code, and its results log. This is an independent scholarly note, not an erratum issued or endorsed by the original authors or publisher.
