Pencegahan Perilaku Cyberbullying melalui Tahapan Stimulus Control dalam Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya
The prevalence of cyberbullying behavior among students indicates a crisis of digital etiquette that urgently needs to be addressed systematically through an approach rooted in the values of Islamic Religious Education. Conventional approaches, which tend to be normative and persuasive, are considered not to have fully addressed the root of the problem, particularly students’ inability to manage provocative digital stimuli independently and sustainably. This study aims to describe the application of the stages of stimulus control in Islamic Religious Education learning as a strategy for preventing cyberbullying behavior among students at SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya. This study used a qualitative approach with an exploratory case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results show that the systematic application of five stages of stimulus control, namely discriminative stimulus identification, discrimination training, contingency reinforcement, stimulus fading, and stimulus generalization, integrated with the values of Islamic Religious Education, was able to form students’ habituation of Islamic digital ethics. The novelty of this study lies in the desecularization of Skinner’s behaviorist theory through the internalization of the concept of muraqabah as an internal reinforcement mechanism. Thus, this study contributes to the development of an Islamic Religious Education-based cyberbullying prevention model that is oriented not only toward behavioral change but also toward spiritual meaning in shaping students’ Islamic digital ethics.
