THE EMERGENCE OF INTENT AS A VARIABLE UNDER OBSERVATION IN HUMAN–AI INQUIRY
This research paper by independent scholar Yeshayahu Ben-Yehudah introduces intent as a variable under observation within an ongoing investigation of human–artificial intelligence interaction, cognitive distortion, observational fidelity, and human self-governance. The study examines a distinction between the author's earlier body of work, which emerged without predetermined intentions or a prior intention to use artificial intelligence, and his present deliberate investigation of AI system behavior. A central development is the author's decision to include himself within the investigation. His own intentions, assumptions, observations, discernment, and application of the Ben-Yehudah Six-Pillar Process Architecture are subject to examination alongside the AI system. The paper explores whether the presence, absence, or emergence of intent may influence distortion during human–AI interactions. Neither intention nor its absence is assumed to cause distortion. The investigation emphasizes openness, evidentiary honesty, disciplined self-examination, and accountability without exempting the researcher from scrutiny. DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.23849702
