Study of the Features of Interaction of Semicarbazide With Dialkylchloroethynyl Phosphonates
ABSTRACT The reaction of semicarbazide with dialkyl chloroethynyl phosphonates proceeds with exclusive chemo‐ and regioselectivity to afford phosphonylated 1,3,4‐oxadiazoles, as unambiguously confirmed by x‐ray crystallography. Quantum chemical calculations were performed to rationalize the observed selectivity and elucidate the reaction mechanism.
