Research on the Double-edged Sword Effect of Employee Perception of AI in the Context of Digitalization and Intelligentization

As AI technology advances and digitalization accelerates, technological change brings both opportunities and challenges to employees. AI perception reflects employees’ awareness of AI’s impact on their work attitudes, behaviors, well-being and environment. While AI improves performance, it also introduces risks that significantly affect employees. Meanwhile, scattered and ambiguous concepts hinder research on AI’s psychological and behavioral impacts. This paper explores the specific impacts and mechanisms of AI application on employees in the context of digitalization through a survey of 386 employees. Firstly, analyze the connotation of the AI perception concept; secondly, test the theoretical framework and hypotheses based on methods such as regression analysis, structural equation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis; finally, construct a research framework for examining the double-edged sword effect of employees' AI perception, providing theoretical references for future related research and insights for organizational decision-making.
