The Fuel Gauge — the magnetic reading of the helium anomaly, and why a gauge is not an engine

The question that opened this paper: maybe helium has less magnetic strength to hold things in. The answer is the best kind — the instinct points at exactly the right set of nuclides, for exactly the inverted reason, through a quantity that turns out to be a symptom rather than a cause. This is the third route in one day into the same gap (after the pairing route and the alpha route of Papers 77–79), and the three are one finding. [earned — the identification and the convergence; fence — the moment as symptom; nothing entered] This record holds one paper on its own and is refreshed every couple of months. The complete deposit, 10.5281/zenodo.21788037, holds every paper with its code and data and is updated first; for the newest version of this paper, go there.
