Epistemological Violence and Instrumental Constraints
This study transcends conventional philosophy of science paradigms by evaluating empirical measurements from gamma ray spectrometry, high purity germanium and sodium iodide (NaI(Tl) scintillation setups, and gas filled particle detectors specifically focusing on AIR (Atmospheric Ionization / Radiation) detector architectures through the lens of instrumental ontology, epistemological violence, and the Kantian distinction between noumena and phenomena. The data construction processes between net peak counts and the Compton continuum, the instrumental blindness induced by dead time losses, the saturation thresholds of gas ionization cascades, and the electromagnetic constraints of the skin effect and electronic thermal noise are deeply analyzed. Furthermore, by integrating Şakir Kocabaş's epistemology of physics and reality, the fundamental tension between the raw reality of nature and the operational models produced by scientific instruments is thoroughly examined.
