The Two Defects — the helium-4 anomaly explained, mechanically

Papers 74 through 78 eliminated, one by one, every proposed cause of the helium-4 anomaly: temperature, environment, gases, plasma, size, and seven fitted knobs. This paper reports what it actually is — two mechanical defects in the ledger's own functional form, both quantified, together the size of the whole 11.56 MeV. Nothing exotic. Two pieces of arithmetic the form was carrying all along. This record holds one paper on its own and is refreshed every couple of months. The complete deposit, 10.5281/zenodo.21788037, holds every paper with its code and data and is updated first; for the newest version of this paper, go there.
