Molecular Machines as Projection Systems: An Information-Dynamics Reading of Flow Routing
An information-dynamics reading of Yang and Dill's nonequilibrium theory for molecular machine design (Physical Review Research 8:043104, 2026). The F1-ATPase example is recomputed from the published rate model; at zero torque the traffic on the catalysis edge is 5.57 times the traffic on the binding edge, and the operational projection purity is 0.15 against a ceiling of 0.50. Kinetic proofreading and enzyme inhibition are read as interpretations of Yang and Dill's results, with no new calculation. The paper adds no new equation and is presented as an interpretive replication and reproducibility note.
