Historical reader operations: local instructions, qualified actions, and receiving entries
Historical technical manuscripts support distinct acts of consultation: following a written referral, reconstructing its receiving address, entering a table with declared inputs, consulting an already selected paragraph, and supplying a reader's own choice. This study assembles reviewed cases from medical, herbal, mnemonic and astrological books and carries selected operations into their receiving material. A Cgm 7958 example uses the declared names Adam and Eva to obtain address 5 and consult its bounded profile. In Thurgau Y 35, a planetary-hour reference and an activity-table explanation concern different receiving units. The activity example returns the written character o; a source-certified local letter key and complete qualification are required before that character can become an action judgment. Other cases recover named referrals and entry boundaries, preserve useful nonunique inverses, and expose the difference between a supported word and a certified abbreviation expansion. Later source acquisition and archive recovery correct earlier access gaps without changing the underlying source readings. The result is a set of usable local reconstructions with explicit inputs, answer types and stopping points. It supplies comparative evidence for operational manuscript design while keeping each manuscript's instructions within that manuscript. The shared release archive contains the companion manuscripts, reader guides, source matrices, figures and reproducible evidence. Scientific qualifications remain attached to their respective tests.
