An Integrative approach to the study of idiostyle as a category of linguistics

The purpose of the article is a comprehensive comparative analysis of the constituent characteristics of the idiostyle category, considered in the context of the linguistics of literary text. The study is based on an analytical review of the relevant scientific works of contemporary linguists, which is presented not as a sequential list of individual views, ideas, and concepts, but as a comparative analysis of current and relevant research perspectives: stylistic, text-centric, anthropocentric, cognitive, linguopoetic, and corpus-based. The study focuses on the differentiation of such fundamental concepts of the metalanguage of linguistics and text stylistics as “idiostyle”, “idioculture”, “individual style”, “author’s image”, and “linguistic personality”, as it is at the intersection of these categories that the modern understanding of the author’s organization of discourse is formed. Materials and methods . The study was based on a corpus of three dozen texts by the founders of stylistic and textual linguistics and their students and followers, including fundamental scientific works, monographs, articles in peer-reviewed journals, and four relevant textbooks. The research methods include a set of macro-paradigmatic methods and techniques <j
