Games for developing communicative skills in primary school

Developing communicative skills in primary school pupils improves their speaking, listening, and information-sharing skills. Through games and interactive activities, children actively participate in communication and learn teamwork and cooperation. At the same time, they learn to express their ideas clearly, listen to others, and treat them with respect. Communication-based games also help teachers organize effective communicative activities. Through games, children learn to express their thoughts clearly, listen to others, and develop problem-solving skills through collaboration. In addition, didactic games enhance their creative thinking and make the processes of reading and writing more engaging. Through conversations, role-playing games, and interactive activities, pupils build mutual trust and learn to help one another. From a methodological perspective, teachers should plan each lesson in advance and select games and activities that are appropriate to the topic. At the same time, it is important to take into account pupils’ age-related characteristics, abilities, and individual needs. For example, engaging and visual games are more effective for younger children, while older children gain experience by completing more complex communicative tasks.
