The Universal Hypothesis of Artificial Production of Biological Components, Organs, and Living Systems: A Multiscale Research Program from Chemical Synthesis to Practical Applications
We propose a universal research hypothesis: for every biologicalcomponent of living bodies, including plasma, blood, heart, liver, kidney, muscle, meat, fish, and the tissues and organs of all species, thereexist a corresponding method and a corresponding production formulato manufacture that target artificially through chemical, biochemical,or biotechnological laboratory processes and subsequently develop theproduction into methods for practical application. The hypothesis deliberately retains its universal scope. It does not require one identicalmethod or formula for all biological targets; rather, it asserts the existence of a corresponding method and formula for each target. Weestablish a five-level classification of targets, from molecules and biological fluids to whole living organisms, and distinguish cell-derivedproducts from complete functional organs and from intact animals. We propose an integrated seven-stage research workflow and threecomplementary research branches: chemical and biochemical synthesis, cell-based biological reconstruction, and construction of integratedliving structures. A mathematical framework expresses the universalexistence claim, specifies target-dependent composition and function, and models reaction dynamics, transport constraints, quality, safety,1and translation into practical use. Published evidence for recombinantproteins, cultured blood cells, cultivated animal and fish cells, engineered tissues, organ buds, cardiac patches, and synthetic-genomecontrolled bacterial cells supports feasibility in specific domains. However, these results do not establish the existence of a correspondingmethod and formula for every biological target. The paper thereforepresents a scientifically testable long-term research program, not anexperimental proof of a universal production law. Keywords: universal biological manufacturing hypothesis; biochemical synthesis; artificial blood; cultivated meat; cultivated fish; tissue engineering;organoids; organ bioengineering; synthetic biology; whole-organism construction; multiscale modeling
