Perancangan dan Implementasi Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Transaksi dan Persediaan Barang pada Usaha Laundry Berbasis Web

Transaction and inventory management in small and medium-sized laundry businesses often still rely on manual, paper-based methods. This leads to slow data retrieval, an increased risk of data loss, and inadequate inventory oversight. Unlike previous studies which primarily focused on managing transactions, customers, services, payments, and financial reporting this research introduces a novel approach by integrating transaction management with inventory (supplies/items) tracking within a single web-based laundry information system. The development process follows the Agile methodology, incorporating data collection through field observations, interviews, and literature reviews, alongside UML modeling. The system is designed for two primary user roles Owner and Cashier with access rights tailored to each. Consequently, since each service type requires specific materials, inventory levels are automatically reduced whenever a transaction is recorded; furthermore, any change in stock can be traced back to the specific transaction that caused it. This streamlines the recording process for cashiers, enables owners to easily monitor the consumption and remaining stock of supplies, and ultimately enhances the quality of customer service. Black Box Testing confirms that all system functions operate as intended.
