Strategic Communications
Throughout the fall 2026 semester, students in JMC 339 Strategic Communications wrote a four-phase communication plan for a situation or problem they identified. This involved identifying the key publics, crafting a message strategy with measurable goals and objectives, choosing appropriate tactics, and proposing an evaluation method. This course was led by Dr. Melony Shemberger, professor of journalism and mass communications. During the 2026 Fall Scholars Week, the students will discuss their individual strategic communication efforts they designed. The following students participated in the project: Grady Bormann Alexandria Cocke Alyssa Dawson Jenna Gamblin Timothy Melton Matia Price
