THE POETICS OF NATIONAL IDENTITY AND HISTORICAL MEMORY IN THE LYRICAL WORKS OF ABDULLA ORIPOV
This article investigates the artistic representation of national identity and historical memory in the lyrical poetry of Abdulla Oripov, a prominent representative of twentieth-century Uzbek literature. Employing hermeneutic interpretation, cultural memory theory, comparative literary analysis, and semantic examination, the study explores the relationship between national consciousness, historical experience, poetic symbolism, and ethical responsibility. Particular attention is devoted to the representation of the homeland, the interaction between individual and collective memory, and the transformation of cultural heritage into literary meaning. The findings suggest that Oripov's poetry constructs national identity through an interconnected system of historical references, emotional associations, and philosophical reflections, thereby contributing to the preservation and reinterpretation of Uzbek cultural consciousness.
