Hubungan Anemia Dan Gangguan Integritas Kulit (Pruritus) Dengan Kualitas Hidup Pasien Penyakit Ginjal Kronik Yang Menjalani Hemodialisis Di Rumah Sakit PELNI Tahun 2025: The Relationship Between Anemia and Impaired Skin Integrity (Pruritus) and the Q
Abstract Introduction: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive condition that requires long-term hemodialysis therapy and is often accompanied by various complications, such as anemia and impaired skin integrity. skin in the form of pruritus. These complications can impact the physical, psychological, and social aspects of patients, thus affecting their quality of life. Objective: To determine the relationship between anemia and impaired skin integrity (pruritus) with the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at Pelni Hospital in 2025. Method: Quantitative descriptive correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. Sample: A total of 86 respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Anemia data were obtained from hemoglobin (Hb) levels in medical records, impaired skin integrity (pruritus) was measured using the 5-D Itch Scale questionnaire, and quality of life was measured using the KDQOL-36 questionnaire. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test in jamovi Software 2.3.28. with a significance level of p <0.05. Results: The study showed that most respondents experienced mild anemia (64.0%), mild pruritus (59.3%), and had a good quality of life (73.3%). Statistical tests showed a significant association between anemia and quality of life (p = 0.017) and between pruritus and quality of life (p < 0.001). It was concluded that anemia and pruritus are significantly associated with quality of life in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis. Keywords: Chronic Kidney Disease, Anemia, Pruritus, Quality of Life, Hemodialysis.
