Pengaruh Kemitraan, Persaingan dan Pendapatan Ojek Online Terhadap Kesejahteraan Driver Gojek di Jakarta Selatan
This study is motivated by the rapid growth of the online motorcycle taxi (ojek online) industry in South Jakarta, which has triggered intense competition and affected drivers' welfare. Drivers face challenges such as fluctuating income, job insecurity, and policy changes by the application platforms. This study aims to analyze how partnership, competition, and income affect Gojek drivers' welfare in South Jakarta. The study uses quantitative analysis with quantile regression, which allows analysis of how the variables affect the distribution of welfare at different levels (quantiles) in the population. The sample consisted of 93 Gojek drivers in South Jakarta, selected through purposive sampling. The results show that income has a significant positive effect on driver welfare at all quantiles, with the highest coefficient at the 0.5 quantile (0.503) and a slight decline at the 0.75 quantile (0.327). Partnership also contributes positively to welfare, particularly at the 0.5 quantile (coefficient: 0.238, p = 0.045) and the 0.75 quantile (coefficient: 0.187, p = 0.219), but it is not significant at the 0.25 quantile (p = 0.411). In contrast, competition negatively affects welfare at all quantiles, with the lowest coefficient at the 0.75 quantile (-0.355, p = 0.018). This study emphasizes the importance of policies that support partnership and manage healthy competition to improve driver welfare in the app-based transportation industry.
